- The Operations Lead is tasked with overseeing and enhancing the organization & daily operations.
- This role demands strong leadership, strategic vision, and a comprehensive grasp of operational processes.
- The Operations Lead will ensure that all operations are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in line with the company's objectives.
Base location: Bangalore, with the expectation to travel 40-50% of the time across the Zones that will be defined.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute operational strategies to meet organizational goals.
- Align processes with the company's long-term vision.
- Direct the implementation of operational plans to ensure timely and efficient service or product delivery.
2. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage the operational team, offering guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
- Identify team training needs and facilitate skill enhancement.
3. Process Optimization:
- Evaluate current processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement enhancements to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Use data and analytics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
4. Resource Management:
- Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including personnel, budget, and materials.
- Ensure efficient resource use to achieve operational objectives.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and external partners.
5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge operational success.
- Track and report on operational performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular updates for senior management on operational status, challenges, and achievements.
6. Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify potential operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
- Lead initiatives to enhance safety and minimize operational risks.
7. Innovation and Technology Integration:
- Promote the adoption of new technologies and innovative practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate relevant advancements into operations.
8. Customer Satisfaction and Engagement:
- Ensure operations meet or surpass customer expectations in quality and delivery.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or issues related to operations promptly.
9. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align and support category initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with senior management about category supply chain performance and strategic priorities.
10. Cost Management:
- Align costs with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and explore revenue generation through service income from supply chain operations and support functions such as NFI, logistics, and pack houses.
Job Requirements:
1. Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field from a Tier 1 institution; Master's degree is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience in supply chain operations management or a similar field.
- Proven track record in leading and managing teams in a dynamic environment.
2. Personal Attributes:

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
3. Additional Information:
Base location: Bangalore, with the expectation to travel 50% of the time across India.
Language requirements: For Citrus - English and Hindi; Marathi is a plus (In West Zone) For Apple and Mango - English and Hindi; Telugu is a plus. (North & South)
