EXIM Logistics Manager


Vegrow, on its path to global expansion and accelerated growth of 3x in the fruits export and import business, is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to spearhead its EXIM team. In this key role, you will take ownership of all aspects related to the import and export of products, overseeing logistics, material handling, shipment coordination, and trade compliance.

Responsibilities:

1. Total Landed Cost Analysis:

- Perform comprehensive analyses of total landed costs.

- Recommend optimal shipping methods, carriers, and routing

- Own transportation parameters, delivery specifications, and cost objectives.

2. Vendor Management:

- Float Request for Proposals (RFPs) and negotiate competitive rates for international transportation services.

- Collaborate with vendors and freight forwarders to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions.

- Develop long term partnership with Fleet & freight forwarders, ensuring business sustainability.

3. Documentation Oversight:

- Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and orders for payment accuracy.

- Coordinate the claims process for international shipments, working closely with freight forwarders and Risk Management.

4. Metrics and Compliance:

- Maintain and analyse metrics, customer service logs, and safety records.

- Define and enforce import and export Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics seamlessly with business systems and processes.

- Drive alignment between logistics activities and overall business objectives.

6. Audit and Continuous Improvement:

- Conduct regular audits of logistics activities to ensure adherence to standards.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement industry best practices for risk mitigation.

7. Contingency Planning:

- Develop and implement contingency plans to secure critical shipping lanes, ensuring uninterrupted product flow.

Qualifications:

a) Bachelor's/PG degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.

b) Proven experience of at least 7-8 years in import/export logistics management.

c) Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with international trade regulations.

d) Proficiency in publishing Monthly MIS dashboard data to the leadership

e) Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
