VECV - Senior Consultant - SAP BASIS

Responsibilities:

SAP System Landscape Maintenance

- Taking care of SAP version and Patch upgrades

- Database Maintenance and upgrades

- SAP Disaster recovery site maintenance

- SAP Helpdesk Management through Solution Manager and Business Process mapping

- Manage and Support SAP Technical Infrastructure components that run on ABAP and/or JAVA stacks

- Responsible for Installations / Documentation / Performance Tuning / Upgrades / Monitoring of SAP Application / Netweaver Suite of products like ERP, BW, PI, CRM, Portal, GRC on WINDOWS and AIX/Oracle platforms

- Indepth knowledge of ABAP and JAVA monitoring tools for root cause analysis such as CCMS, DB cockpit and SMD

- Evaluate Early Watch/Service Level reports and come up with an action plan to address the gaps on an ongoing basis

- Perform Client Copies/System Refreshes to support QA testing

- Knowledge of Transport Management System configurations & Charm.

- Capacity planning activities to track database growth, participates in sizing and SAP archiving activities

- Support current SAP DR Strategy and Backup-Recovery / Configuration / upgrade/ monitoring of Oracle databases in an SAP environment.

- Work with Storage and Network teams to configure systems and troubleshoot.

Capabilities Required:

- SAP ECC 6.0 Installation on Cluster on UNIX, WINTEL Env. with Oracle in backend

- SAP Enterprise Portal in Cluster Env on WINTEL platform with Oracle in backend

- SAP BI / BW installation on WINTEL platform

- SAP CRM/DBM/ SMP system monitoring and fine tuning

- SAP Solution Manager 7.1 operations

- TDMS installation and operations

- SAP PI setup, configuration and monitoring

- IDOC and ALE configuration and Maintenance

- Database maintenance, fine tuning, upgrades

- Experience in ODG (Oracle Data Guard) configuration
