Roles and responsibilities :
Collaborate with a team of VAT professionals to combine diverse cross-border transaction experience with local tax knowledge across a broad spectrum of industries;
Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties;
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel;
Build strong internal relationships within the VAT practice, Indirect Tax and across other service lines;
Maintain an educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis
Transfer technical and professional knowledge to others through formal and on-the-job training;
Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training VAT professionals; and
Set clear, well-defined, desired outcomes for the team's work activity and tracks progress.
Desired Candidate Profile :
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Law or Finance
Professional qualification MBA in Finance, CA, ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent is preferred
Experience and Background :
Between 2 and 5 years relevant working experience in VAT/ GST / Indirect Tax.
Able to understand and interpret VAT/ GST / Indirect tax regulations and laws.
Experience with a Big 4 firm will be advantageous
VAT advisory experience is essential
VAT implementation experience is desirable
Good written and verbal communication
Able to understand and interpret tax regulations and laws, interpret financial statements, prepare written reports and tax computations.
Able to Lead small teams
Able to set out clear project plans.
Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
Ability to apply Q&RM procedures
Proficiency in Arabic language skills would be an advantage
