Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager with specialized experience in solar or power products. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth, expanding our market presence, and fostering strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities:
1. Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential opportunities, market trends, and competitive analysis in the solar/power industry.
- Develop comprehensive business strategies aligned with the company's goals to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones.
2. Business Growth and Client Acquisition:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Drive the sales process, from lead generation to negotiation and closing deals, ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded.
3. Product Knowledge and Expertise:
- Leverage expertise in solar or power products (Panels, Batteries, inverters) to effectively communicate the value proposition to clients and tailor solutions to their specific needs.
- Collaborate with the product development team to provide insights for product enhancement or new product launches based on market demands.
4. Strategic Partnerships and Alliances:
- Identify and forge strategic partnerships, collaborations, or alliances that enhance our product offerings and market presence.
- Negotiate and manage partnerships to ensure mutually beneficial agreements and sustainable business growth.
5. Sales Pipeline Management:
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking activities and progress through CRM tools or systems.
- Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and strategic insights to the leadership team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant post-graduate qualifications are a plus.
- Proven track record of minimum (4-5years) in business development, with a focus on solar or power products within energy or power industries.
- Deep understanding of the solar/power/ energy industry, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in market research and strategic planning.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while fostering a collaborative team culture.
- Should be comfortable in frequent travelling, specially outstations scattered into the eastern region of Bhubeneswar, Guwahati, orrisa.
