Your Role:
- Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials (focus on FICO - Controlling - Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Project System, Results Analysis, Unsettled Costs, Month End Close, Overhead Assessment, and Settlement.)
- Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document financial support requirements.
- Collaborate with business teams and SMEs to collect business requirements in support of projects.
- Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; develop necessary SAP configurations to resolve problems and implement improvements in financial processing.
- Design, customize, configure, and test FI/CO functional processes.
- Identify gaps, issues, and work around solutions.
- Act as liaison between users and development team to troubleshoot, investigate, analyze, and solve SAP process issues.
- Document functional designs, test cases and results.
- Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
- Support both new implementations and existing support projects.
- Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required.
- Work independently; may act as subject matter mentor to junior team members and business SME's.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms in the SAP system, conduct unit testing.
- Write detailed functional specifications for ABAP developers.
- Debug ABAP code and resolve issues as required.
Your Profile:
- B.S. degree in business, accounting, computer science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in full cycle support projects and implementations.
- 5+ years of SAP experience supporting General Ledger including several of the following functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, Project System.
- Experience in FI integration points with other SAP modules like MM, PP, IM/WM, SD/SM/PS, and PM.
- Experience in AMS/support environment is a plus.
- Understanding of accounting business processes is necessary.
- Ability to write detailed functional specifications for ABAP developers.
- Strong understanding of SAP FI, CO, and Tax modules.
- Experience with change control processes and validation desired.
