Responsibilities

- Lead,develop and maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision makers throughout the year to communicate value and inform them about the firm’s scope of services. Provide guidance/expertise and lead project teams to coordinate valuation engagements for the purpose of management planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring and reorganization and corporate strategy. Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed.

- Lend specific subject matter knowledge and offer companies professional transaction experience by determining the right thing to do, and assist them in doing the right deal.

- Develop new and creative analyses to prove key assertions across multiple work streams. Assume a leadership role in report generation and financial modeling.

- Present findings to the client via reports and presentations. Maintain and develop positive, productive and professional relationships with client personnel.

- Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, mentor others, stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client’s business, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of the Valuation services provided.

- Identify/communicate relevant trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to the client.

- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the client’s industry and marketplace.

- Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team. Successfully delegate to all levels of staff. Conduct performance reviews, serve as a positive leader and mentor and contribute to performance feedback/training. Foster teamwork and lead by example.

- Participate in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building and management.

- Generate new business opportunity by developing ideas and solutions. Achieve growth by understanding the company and its service lines and actively assessing/presenting ways to apply knowledge and services. Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally.

Qualifications

- A bachelor’s degree in finance economics, accounting or business with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis

- A minimum of 6 years of direct experience utilizing Valuation techniques and methodologies (Purchase Price Allocations (PPA),Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Income Approach, Market Comparables, etc) within a business valuation firm or practice or in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research, national valuation firm or experience in a corporate finance role in an organization, preferably for M&A activities; of which 5 years should be Purchase Price Allocation experience; 3 years of relevant experience will be accepted for those with a relevant graduate degree.

- Financial Modeling experience include experience building models from scratch in MS Excel and related software preferred

- Experience conducting Valuations for tax planning purposes highly desired.

- Must have finance or accounting designation such as, CFA, CA, CPA, ASA etc.

- Ability to manage project expenditures against budget and revenue, and provide the necessary leadership and guidance to team members to ensure the completion of work deliverables.

- Proven business development, marketing and negotiating techniques with a demonstrated track record of pursuing and closing business opportunities, and the ability to manage engagement risk through reaffirming client satisfaction.

- Excellent analytical, project-management, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills

- PC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

- FAS 123 R, 157, 409a experience desired
