Team Profile : 

- Valuation Control Group (VCG), as part of Finance, provides an independent valuation opinion across the entire spectrum of financial instruments within the firm's sales and trading inventory and investment portfolios. Products range from plain vanilla to the most complex structured derivative transactions. The team leverages its diverse quantitative skill set and product expertise to act as a guardian of the firm's books and records and approver of valuation methodology. 


- VC plays a central role within the organization and liaises closely with traders, market risk, product control, technology, and quants/modeling teams. The group's key clients are senior trading management and senior Finance management.

You will :

- Verify position marks in compliance with fair value on the firm's books and records. The coverage includes all Japan Rates and FX businesses.

- Develop valuation review techniques with BU quants.

- Upload/download VC data into/from internal and external (Totem) database.

- Understand valuation review results and present them to the VC clients.

- Contribute to the global VC projects.

ORGANIZATION:

- Minimum 2 years of related experience (valuation control, product control, market risk, trading, quant, etc.) with derivative experience inclusive, ideally in fixed income products.

- PC skills (advanced Excel skills essential, database or programming skills plus).

- Bachelor degree in quantitative major, Advanced degrees ideal.

- Determination to deliver results, self-confidence, good communication skills to work as a team and strong enthusiasm to learn and develop valuation knowledge.
