Valuation Actuary - Global Insurance/Reinsurance Firm
Responsibilities:
- Valuation Expertise: Utilize comprehensive knowledge and experience in Life/Health Insurance/Reinsurance to perform accurate and insightful valuations.
- LDTI Compliance: Ensure compliance with the latest Long Duration Targeted Improvements (LDTI) standards, staying abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Prophet Platform Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in using the Prophet platform for actuarial modeling and analysis.
- Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR): Play a key role in determining and managing Solvency Capital Requirement, contributing to the financial stability and regulatory compliance of the organization.
- Qualified Actuary: Hold the designation of a Qualified Actuary or have a minimum of 10 actuarial exams cleared, showcasing a high level of technical expertise.
- Experience Range: Possess 5-12 years of hands-on experience in Life/Health Insurance/Reinsurance, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry nuances.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk management, and underwriting, to ensure seamless integration of actuarial insights into broader business strategies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare clear and concise documentation of valuation methodologies, assumptions, and results. Generate reports for internal and regulatory purposes.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in actuarial science to enhance professional knowledge and contribute to organizational growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- Qualified Actuary or a minimum of 10 actuarial exams cleared.
- Strong proficiency in actuarial software, with a focus on the Prophet platform.
- In-depth knowledge of Life/Health Insurance/Reinsurance products and valuation principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
