Vakilsearch - Finance Operations Role - US GAAP Accounting

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance Operations team as a Member of Finance Operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in US GAAP accounting and a proven track record of at least 3 years of experience in the field. The role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and optimization of financial processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage and execute various aspects of financial operations, ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

- Participate in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial information.

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

- Support the implementation of financial policies and procedures to maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting standards.

- Assist in the coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors as required.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Finance Operations team and contribute to the implementation of efficiency-enhancing initiatives.

- Collaborate with the broader finance team to streamline financial workflows and enhance overall financial reporting accuracy.

- Stay updated on changes in US GAAP accounting standards and regulations, ensuring the organization's practices remain compliant.

- Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by management, leveraging financial expertise to contribute to project success.

- Foster effective communication and collaboration with colleagues, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in US GAAP accounting roles.

- Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.

- Proficiency in financial analysis, data interpretation, and reporting.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.

Qualifications:

- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial software applications.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

- Prior experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is a plus.

- Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are advantageous but not mandatory.
