About Vaia Climate: Vaia Climate is a global investment and policy advisory firm based in Bangalore, India that focusses on fundraising, investment strategy, capital deployment, and portfolio management. It works closely with both early-stage startups to provide strategy and advisory support, as well as with leading VC funds to provide ESG due diligence and consulting services. Vaia Climate also supports policymakers in the design and execution of policy, especially in the fields of sustainable development.

Location: Bangalore, India

Job Description: As part of this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting Vaia Climate in its ESG efforts, including undertaking ESG due diligence and ESG policy drafting on behalf of clients. You will be responsible for leading cutting-edge research on ESG laws and regulations, ESG rating metrics, international and Indian ESG standards and guidelines and creating a repository of ESG best practices.

Qualifications:

- An undergraduate degree from a reputed university;

- A keen understanding of ESG and sustainability laws/ regulatory landscape and interest in corporate governance;

- Relevant work experience, including relevant internship experience at ESG focussed companies/ law firms/ VC funds/ think tanks/ startups/ research organizations;

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and take initiative;

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the team in a fast-paced work environment;

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously;

- Strong written and verbal communication skills;

- Prior experience in conducting due diligence and research on sustainable development is an added advantage.
