Role Description:

- The Organic Certification Manager is a crucial role within UVR Natural Foods, responsible for the oversight and management of the organic certification process for our product lines.

- This role ensures compliance with all relevant organic regulations and standards, maintaining the integrity of our organic products from sourcing to final production.

- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sonipat/Delhi.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Certification Management:

- Manage the entire organic certification process, from initial application to annual renewal, for all applicable products and facilities.

- Act as the primary liaison with accredited organic certification bodies ( NPOP, NOP).

- Coordinate and schedule regular audits by certification bodies.

- Ensure timely submission of all required documentation and information to certification bodies.

- Address any non-conformances identified during audits and implement corrective actions.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of organic standards and regulations (NPOP, NOP, and other relevant standards).

- Develop and maintain internal procedures and documentation related to organic certification.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

- Implement and monitor organic practices throughout the supply chain, from sourcing raw materials to processing and packaging finished products.

- Conduct regular internal audits to verify compliance with organic standards.

- Work closely with suppliers to ensure they adhere to organic certification requirements.

- Maintain accurate and detailed records related to organic certification, including audit reports, transaction certificates, and supplier declarations.

- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to integrate organic certification requirements into the overall quality management system.

- Investigate and resolve any potential organic integrity issues.

Stakeholder Management:

- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (sourcing team, production team, marketing team) regarding organic certification requirements and updates.

- Provide training to staff on organic practices and procedures.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, certification bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain meticulous records of all organic certification-related activities.

- Prepare regular reports on the status of organic certification.

- Track and analyze data related to organic compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in organic certification.

- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organic certification process.

- Contribute to the development of new organic products and initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Education: Degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field.

- A Certification in Organic Agriculture or a related field is a strong plus.

- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in managing organic certification processes.

- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of organic certification standards and regulations (NPOP, NOP, and other relevant international standards).

Skills:

- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

- Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation.

- Knowledge of food processing and handling practices
