Senior Category Manager-Women's Ethnic Wear-Delhi
Functional Expectations and Drivers (Group Level) :
- Develop and deliver the Category Business Plan, consistent with the Financial KPIs - Sales, Stocks, Margin and Markdown Cost.
- Develop the Range/Brand Strategy, ensuring Growth w.r.t. ROS, ATV, ASP, ABS etc.
- Identify New Business Opportunities and perform financial analysis of business categories and provide insights of sales, pricing, and other ongoing opportunities for growing the business.
- Ensure Category Positioning basis the allocated budgets and optimize Category Performance
- Delivery of the Promotional Strategies focused on Worldwide Events with positive Sales Margins.
- Conduct Consumer Research & Competitor Presence / Benchmarking for the Category to chalk incremental Promotion Techniques and Space Productivity.
- Perform Product Level, Category Level and Offer Level Analysis to determine Merchandising Strategies (Analysis should include Sales, Gross Margin and overall Product Profitability).
- Partner with Fulfillment Function to manage inventory health by ensuring efficient inventory flows (including the forecasting, purchasing, and return of new and catalog products). Involves determining and executing exit strategies for unproductive inventory.
- Work with Analytics to derive and act upon valuable consumer insights to drive sales on the website
- Ensure the merchandise discoverability on the website is a delight for customers and works as a differentiator for us
- Ensure Stock Availability as per the Scheduled Sales Promotion
- Drive the Fulfilment Team to strengthen the Annual/Half Yearly/Quarterly/Monthly Buying Plan ensuring clear Product Mix, Top Line & Bottom Line across Categories.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Passion and knowledge of fashion trend, fabric, color and apparel types
- Has strong business acumen, should have entrepreneurial fire, from ideation to creation.
- Has worked with online/internet driven business.
- Has exposure to modern retail apparel and fashion industry.
- Is creative when w.r.t the Seasonal Trends that can be offered to customers
- Has technical know-how about the merchandise.
- Is a team worker and has willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done.
- A qualification in fashion, clothing & textiles or relative discipline would be an advantage.
- Ability to spot trends (new products, styles, brands) in the marketplace and in merchandise.
