POSITION WILL REPORT TO: Regional Manager Sales

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent Full time

FUNDAMENTAL (Basic Minimum Requirements) :

- TERTIARY QUALIFICATION : At minimum of Bachelor Degree / Master degree.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- COMPUTER LITERACY : Internet, MS- Word; MS-Excel & Power point.

- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Total Experience - 5 to 9 years

- Industry Experience (Freight Forwarding) : 3+ years

About the Company :

UTi is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company.

Currently, we operate a global network of freight forwarding offices, contract logistics and distribution centres in a total of 64 countries. Furthermore, we serve our clients in 78 additional countries through independent agent-owned offices.

About the Position:

1) New Business Development :

The BDM will be responsible for managing and personally contributing to all new business development related activities.

These activities are:

- Generate New Business Revenue as per Targets.

- Drive new business prospecting through the existing sales resources within each region

- Manage qualification of new business opportunities relating form prospecting within each region

- Facilitate sales calls on prospects through existing sales resources within each region

- Participate in and drive the quality of sales calls to generate opportunities within which UTi can participate

- Create and maintain a new business pipeline

- Coordinate and supervise the sales process activities of new business opportunities where the Auto sales is involved

- Communicate cross-regional new business opportunities between all India offices across multi-regional clients

- Manage and cooperate on all new business growth activities with the India automotive head.

2) Business Retention and Growth :

The BDM will be responsible maintaining existing client base and ensure that current client revenue grows through identifying and taking advantage of new initiatives with clients.

These activities are:

- Identify, build and maintain a database of the existing clients.

- Establish the client management processes employed by each region

- Introduce automotive specific client management processes with key existing clients

- Identify and qualify existing clients with whom additional opportunities exists

- Create and maintain an existing business growth pipeline

- Manage and report on all existing business growth activities to the India automotive vertical leader.
