US Tax (1040 HNI)
The Opportunity:
- We're seeking a talented and experienced US Private Wealth Tax Manager to join our growing team! In this pivotal role, you'll play a key role in providing comprehensive tax services to high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs).
- You'll leverage your in-depth tax knowledge and strong interpersonal skills to prepare complex returns, identify tax planning opportunities, and develop tailored strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance & Planning:
- Prepare and review complex US tax returns for HNWIs, including Form 1040, trust, estate, and gift tax returns for them and their closely held businesses.
- Conduct thorough tax research on industry trends and government developments to stay abreast of the latest wealth planning strategies.
- Proactively identify tax-saving opportunities throughout the year and develop comprehensive tax plans aligned with client needs and goals.
Client Service & Relationship Management:
- Build strong and trusting relationships with HNWIs, providing clear communication and expert tax guidance.
- Partner with clients to understand their unique financial situations and objectives.
- Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional client service, exceeding expectations at every touchpoint.
Teamwork & Development:
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (Accounting, Wealth Management) to ensure seamless client service.
- Share knowledge and expertise by mentoring junior team members, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Innovation & Efficiency:
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve service delivery and develop new capabilities that meet evolving client needs in the HNW space.
- Utilize technology effectively, leveraging tax software (GoSystem, CCH Axcess, etc. ) to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (US) or qualified Chartered Accountant (preferred).
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in public accounting, specifically focused on high-net-worth individuals and their tax needs.
- In-depth understanding of US tax laws and regulations applicable to HNWIs, trusts, estates, and gift taxes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement strategic tax solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software (e. , GoSystem, CCH Axcess).
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving technology
