US TAX Manager:
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of overall experience in US taxation which includes both preparation and review of tax returns and accounting is essential. Working directly with CPA firm in the US is an added advantage.
- Tax Knowledge: High-level understanding of the tax code for individuals and businesses. Assist with tax planning and strategy development, identifying opportunities for reducing tax liability and risk mitigation.
- Certifications: Must be a licensed tax preparer, EA (Enrolled Agent), or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or other qualified professionals in the accounting and tax field
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Tax software such as Drake and Ultra Tax , accounting software's such as QuickBooks and Xero , workflow management tools and MS office.
- Technical Skills: Computer literacy, strong numerical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- People Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking and handling various projects simultaneously in an efficient manner.
US TAX Director:
Responsibilities
- Assist clients in complying with federal, state, and local tax requirements while monitoring filing deadlines.
- Be able to review business and personal tax returns, supervises staff with respect to tax assignments and keeps them advised of tax developments.
- Prepare and deliver Tax Optimization Plans to individuals, small and medium businesses.
- Provides specific guidelines for special tax engagement such as employee benefit plans, incorporation, trusts, etc. Represents clients before tax authorities.
- Research tax questions raised by clients and staff.
- Lead practice development process.
- Lead practicing tax firms acquisition process.
- Review tax entries of associates into accounting software.
Account manager:
- Comprehensive Accounting Management: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general entries, bank reconciliation, credit card expense report reconciliation, cash applications, collections, and payroll.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial processing, month-end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Financial Statements and Management Reports: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, bank reports, and detailed management analysis reports.
- Compliance: Maintain files and ensure compliance with record retention requirements.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of bookkeepers, providing guidance and mentorship to develop their full potential and efficiency.
- Professional Development: Facilitate in-service training on technical advances and ensure continuous education in accounting and technology.
- Client Onboarding and Process Improvement: Oversee the onboarding of clients, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Client Management: Handle client escalations effectively.
- System Improvement and Automation: Lead initiatives for improving and automating current accounting systems.
- Bookkeeping and CFO Services: Provide bookkeeping and CFO services for complex clients or those in transition as needed.
- Staff Evaluation: Regularly evaluate staff performance and assess requirements for optimal team functionality.
