Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, People & Culture, you'll manage HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, culture, HR systems (HiBob), performance, and compliance, primarily for our India team. You'll partner with India leadership and collaborate globally on policy development. Responsibilities range from executive business partnering to HR system administration and team supervision. We seek a proactive, flexible, detail- oriented individual to foster a positive work environment. The role currently supervises one team member in India.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Support Conflict Resolution
- Business partnering to support our leaders with HR best practices and change management strategies
- Employee Engagement: Developing and implementing strategies to improve employee morale and satisfaction; Organizing employee events and initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Managing employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.).
- Conducting salary surveys and analyzing market trends.
- Developing and implementing compensation strategies.
Performance Management:
- Collaborating with the Global People team and our leaders to develop and administer performance appraisal systems.
- Providing feedback and coaching to employees.
Employee lifecycle support:
- Manage and enhance our onboarding program
- Manage offboarding employees including exit interviews/terminations and processing
- Partner with in- house and 3rd- party recruiters to assist with talent acquisition
Compliance and Legal:
- Labor Law Compliance: Stay up- to- date on employment laws and ensure organization is compliant
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate employee records and HR data.
- Adept at handling confidential and sensitive information
Strategic HR:
- HR Planning: Workforce planning and talent management in alignment with organization's goals
- Policy and program design and rollout
- Organizational Development: Helping to shape and maintain company culture; Implementing change management strategies.
Other Duties:
- Help administer HR systems
- We're a small People team with a big footprint. We're looking for people who are willing to pitch in when necessary to help with whatever needs to be done. One example of this is we'll need the HR Manager's help with our Facility Management, to select and maintain optimal office spaces for our India teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 8+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years at an international startup.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with HRIS and recruitment tools. Experience with HiBob is an asset
- Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Mature outlook on HR matters and ability to maintain highly confidential information
- Experience acting as a business partner to senior leaders and executives, as well as managers
- Exceptional interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to have overlap with the US/Canada team through at least noon EST on at least 3 days of the week.
- Must work in our Bangalore office at least 3 days/week
- Willingness to travel; visits to our Pune office 1x/quarter, possible visits to US/Canada
