UrbanClap is India and UAE's largest home services marketplace. Consumers order services like beauty & spa at home, appliance repairs, plumbers, carpenters, cleaners, home painting, etc. through the UrbanClap platform. The company works closely with individual service professionals (ISPs) - transforming them into micro-entrepreneurs who act as its "de-facto franchisees". We do this by helping the ISPs with market access, branding, credit, insurance, training, product procurement, payments and a host of other services while driving either all or upwards of 80% of their business. This allows the platform to control the fulfillment and standardizes the end-user experience - from pricing and deliverables to the service delivery process and SOPs, with the service being delivered under the UrbanClap brand name.

While India is a very large market for a home and local services (~USD 50 Billion in retail spends) and expected to double in the next 5 years, there is no billion-dollar company in this segment today. The industry is bare ~20 years old, with a sub-optimal market architecture typical of an unorganized market - fragmented supply side operated by middlemen. As a result, experiences are broken for both customers and service professionals, each largely relying upon word of mouth to discover the other. The industry can easily be 1.5-2x larger than it is today if the frictions in user and professional's journeys are removed - and the experiences made more meaningful and joyful.
- UrbanClap is building a fulfillment-led services platform to reimagine and organize the key verticals of this industry. At scale, this platform will enable multiple billions of dollars in commerce annually, and create jobs for 1 million+ service professionals. UrbanClap's vision is to empower 1 million+ service professionals to become micro-service entrepreneurs.
Scale of Operations :
UrbanClap serves approximately 800,000 customers every month, for a variety of their home services needs. It is present in all major metropolitan cities of India and has recently also ventured into Dubai & Abu Dhabi, Sydney & Singapore. The company is on annual GMV run-rate of > INR 950Cr., and a revenue run-rate of > INR 220 Cr. annualized (80%+ contribution margin). The business is growing rapidly, scaling at 3-4x YoY, supported by a strong balance sheet and a clear path to profitability.

The company has recently concluded a Series E round of funding (USD M in primary capital + some secondary capital for angels and ~80 employees). Role Summary :
Growth Function :
- Leads demand growth for the platform (& key businesses), Driving New-Users & More-Usage as key mandates. Missioned to unlock rapid adoption (in a profitable way) with Strong Consumer Intelligence, Offering & Pricing strategy, Zero-$ hacks, Strategic Partnerships, Large Media campaigns etc.
- Digital Growth team plays a key role in Driving New-User acquisition. Working end-to-end in planning digital strategy, executing for all channels & driving performance/demand.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Ownership: Lead growth for India market through Digital Marketing channels (FB, Insta, Google, Tiktok)
- Collaborate & lead with the business & creative team in devising communication strategy(creative & messaging) & bringing this to life.
- Build team capabilities & Lay a success path to drive positive ROI for all digital campaigns regularly, while driving demand, revenue, and budget goals with all stakeholders
- Leads larger business decisions by working with the digital team in creating, analyzing & optimizing growth data sets to deliver insights.
- Work with product and data engineering teams to design systems and processes for efficiencies leading to exponential growth.
Job Requirements:
- 3+ year Hands-on Experience on Facebook or Google Marketing
- Lead digital marketing team - driving growth, building capabilities, drive larger agendas with all stakeholders. Experience in leading teams in the past will be preferred.
- Strong Excel & data analytics skillset. Strong with number crunching. Analytical bent of mind; can break down data and assess it efficiently
- 2014/15 batch Tier 1 College pass out (Stephen's, SRCC, LSR, CBS, IIT, NIIT, DTU etc)
- Willing to learn in fast-paced startup ecosystem with Result-driven mindset
- Ability to work under pressure, tight timelines & handle uncertainty.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
