About the Role:
The Key Account Manager is tasked with nurturing and expanding relationships with pivotal large-scale e-commerce portals (Marketplaces) and Modern Trade entities.
This role is responsible for meeting and surpassing sales targets for specific strategic accounts.
The Key Account Manager is the primary interface for products and services, overseeing the entire customer account planning cycle. Their role is pivotal in ensuring that the needs and expectations of assigned customers align with the company's objectives.
What you'll do:
- Attainment of business targets at the category level.
- Enhancing sales, visibility, and availability of Urban Company products through collaborations with Organized Channel Partners (Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales) and online(Amazon, Flipkart, Tata Cliq).
- Strategizing, developing, and executing effective product placement strategies in the market.
- Managing key account relationships, conducting retail visibility audits, and aligning channels with organizational objectives.
- Collaborating with the Sell-in team for demand planning, pricing, promotions, and product placement.
- Enhancing the performance of the Sales team by identifying and measuring key metrics.
- Managing new product launches and overseeing product life cycles.
- Co-creating and managing marketing communication effectively.
- Collaborating closely with the service function to ensure efficient after-sales support for customers.
- Educating partners about Urban Company policies, directives, and schemes as required.
- Demonstrating proficiency in handling sales within large setups or managing substantial key accounts.
- Cultivating and managing relationships with Marketplaces.
- Aligning monthly to quarterly business plans with Marketplaces.
- Store Visits etc. and drive penetration and increase visibility
- Ensuring seller alignment with business plans, working capital, and credit management.
- Monitoring and meeting SCM KPIs expectations from Marketplaces, such as fill rates, selection, and geography replication.
- Overseeing account-level financial operations management.
- Credit management - Ensure 100% collection of dues within stipulated period
- Align and drive trade marketing and trade promotions interventions with the overall business strategy (in collaboration with Trade marketing manager)
- Monitor fill rates for the key accounts and escalate any issues, as necessary Innovation/New product development tracking - Oversee the listing & business plan, activation plan (Customer Communication & Implementation) done for the regional accounts
- Gather and leverage competitor's best practices and market intelligence on
- Regional Retail Strategy and Operations
What we'll need:
- Sharp and hungry professionals willing to go above and beyond to create impact
- 2 -7 years of work experience
- 2 years of experience in Modern Trade or E-commerce Marketplace as a Key account manager
- Degree is mandatory. Masters in Retail is a plus
