About the Role & Team:

- Urban Company's India business is divided into three large verticals with several core categories within these verticals. Each category has an independent user offering and supply pool and is led by a business head.

- Category Manager is responsible for driving structural initiatives for category growth and quality improvement with central leadership and city teams

- This includes end to end ownership of the initiative including problem solving, analysis, process improvement, execution. Support Business Heads in BAU category management activities related to supply/demand planning, revenue planning

What you'll do:

- The category manager is responsible for onboarding the right quality supply to ensure demand is fulfilled with the right customer experience being delivered.

- The category manager is responsible for running and growing an up-and-coming vertical in repairs and build a capability in the company that didnt exist before.

Major roles within this mandate :

- Solve for structural problems at a central level to speed up the growth of the category

- Implementing growth and quality improvement initiatives in sync with category heads at a central level and scaling the vertical

- Ensuring no breakage in daily operations for the project

- Collaborate with cross-functional internal team in technology, product and product business to execute multiple central level projects

- Owning above mandate will require you to do the following -

- Deploying your analytical skills to deep dive on key business problems and propose solutions

- Getting your hands dirty in terms of going on the ground to understand real issues, be it customer experience, onboarding, building a new capability, etc.

- Running tight processes and SOPs in the proejct related to onboarding, service quality improvement, etc.

- Building a strong connect with service professionals

What we need:

- Sharp and hungry professionals willing to go above and beyond to create impact

- 6 months - 2.6 years of work experience

- Ability to work in an environment that is fast paced, requires solving ambiguous problems and highly outcome oriented. We will look for candidates who display these characteristics and have demonstrated the ability to solve problems on ground.
