Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development (Sales Manager) to lead our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets. As a Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in identifying growth opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving sales strategies to expand upGrad's market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets for upGrad's educational programs.

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving individual and team goals.

- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape.

- Client Acquisition: Identify, approach, and secure new business partnerships with corporate clients, educational institutions, and other potential partners.

- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.

- Sales Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

- Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of upGrad's product offerings and effectively communicate value propositions to clients.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer support teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and client satisfaction.

- Negotiation: Lead negotiations and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and maximizing revenue potential.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, business development, or related roles, preferably in the education or ed-tech industry.

Skills:

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic plans.

- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
