Job Description :

- The Technical Architect - Oracle to MySQL Migration is technology architect role working with leadership on planning long-term enterprise strategies and Migrations

- IT transformations as a means of optimizing current business operations, growing new business opportunities and improving the delivery of healthcare to the communities that we serve.

- Responsible for all technical deliverables related to solutioning, planning, and executing

- IT migrations (includes migration across/within data-centers, server states, user bases, operating systems, HW/SW versions, platforms, workplaces, delivery teams, etc.).

- Architect needs to work along with Application Owner, Release Owners, Engagement Manager, Engineering Manager and supporting team members (on/off) for successful implementation of mission-critical healthcare IT solutions for business.

- Provides overall engineering direction and support for migration across all towers to ensure the program meets the contractual obligations and operational standards, as well as the client; business imperatives and work with Team, Other architects to ensure technical integration across all the towers.

- Responsible to ensure migration is delivered on-scope, on-quality, on-time, and on-budget.

- Responsible for the formation and oversight of Migration waves, ensuring that all required tasks are established and completed according to design.

- Experience on Oracle, MYSQL and cloud technologies, Big data echo system is required for this position.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Serve as a trusted and experienced IT advisor to executive IT leadership on the design of complex systems, projects, emerging technology landscape and adoption of industry best practices

- Provide a strategic direction for the organization on database related areas.

- Work closely with development teams on database design changes to meet business requirements. Patch management and version control.

- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. Design, implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

- Provide consultation to development teams. Database tuning and performance monitoring. Setup and maintain documentation and standards.

- Plan growth and changes (capacity planning). Interface with Database software vendor for technical support. Develop innovation, strategies, processes, and best practices.

- Perform analysis of legacy data, data models, and advise on the best way to migrate and manipulate client data to the new environments or data warehouse repositories

- Monitor regulatory guidelines (such as consumer privacy issues) to determine impact on enterprise information architecture, compliance and related guidance (such as data retention and audit requirements) to determine impact on enterprise information architecture and monitor emerging industry standards (such as XML, RDF, OWL and XBRL) to determine impact on enterprise information architecture.

- Facilitates outcome-based strategic planning and architecture conversations across a diverse set of business and technical participants.

- Identifies high-value strategy and architecture opportunities and leads a small team of enterprise architects to achieve them.

- Oversees a number of IT governance programs including annual IT risk assessment and IT modernization, and IT value management activities.

- Provides thought-leadership on key topics like innovation and IT capability road mapping

- Collaborate with, and provide subject matter expertise to, business and operational partners during requirements elicitation

- Provides subject matter expertise in the evaluation of proposed technical solutions and architectures for alignment with the current architecture, evaluating technical usefulness as a migration approach to target architecture and technical soundness to support the program or Department investment decisions

- Responsible for providing the architecture and governance that drives business process improvement and aligns investment decisions and program efforts with the Department missions and strategic goals

- Review business and operational requirements to ensure that the request is complete, and expectations are clearly defined

- Detail and document highly complex functional designs, and data structures, to support business and operational requirements.

- Collaborate with, and provide subject matter expertise to application development partners during the development of solutions.Support the creation and maintenance of system reference architectures, standards, and technology road-maps

- Provide feedback and recommendations on external technology solutions and tools

- Participate in vendor due-diligence as necessary

- Participate in client technology discussions as necessary

Knowledge & Experience :

- Proficiency in English language

- 12+ years of Information Technology experience is required with a combination of experience in the following technical disciplines:

- Experienced related to Data Center migrations which involved the use of tools such as PlateSpin, DoubleTake, MPX200, etc as well as migration methodologies related to Physical to Physical, Physical to Virtual and Virtual to Virtual as examples. Should have worked on multiple Operating Systems such Wintel, Linux, AIX, HP-UX, AS400, OpenVMS and their various versions.

- Experienced in Architecture designing and solution. Database installation on ASM and on file system and know different storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Disk Array etc.) for DB use.

- Hands on expertise in Data modelling, Big data space (Hadoop, Hive, R, Scala, Nosql or any of the big data technologies) and Data migration & Data consolidation tools and techniques required.

- Knowledge of new database technologies, such as Mongo, Hadoop, Cassandra etc. and/or willingness to dive into such new technologies to explore possibilities. Exposure to cloud technologies is a huge plus.

- Install, upgrade and manage Oracle Single Instance and RAC databases, MySQL databases on standalone systems and in cloud infrastructure.

- Knowledge of complex data extraction, transformation, and data loading technique;backup, recovery solutions.

- Experience with ETL and data synchronization/integration tools (Boomi, SnapLogic, Informatica, Relational Junction, etc.).

- High comfort level with scripting, SQL and programming.

- Experience in Deploying and supporting core and advanced features including partitioning, and- replication. Good experience on latest platforms of Oracle like 11g and 12c preferred.

- Data modeling experience using Toad, Erwin, or SQL Developer and knowledge of- Cloud console, CLI and API functionality and EC2 or RDS MySQL deployments preferred.

- Experience in performance troubleshooting, SQL optimization, and bench-marking

- Well conversant with Oracle Grid Control for management of databases and should have worked on DR solutions including Data Guard.

- Perform all Oracle Database Administration related activities independently.

- Provide technical expertise to the development teams for sql tuning and monitoring.

- Research, evaluate, and test new software and DBMS related tools and facilities

- Deploy database changes in dev, qa and production using existing process methodology.

- Knowledge of design methodologies and database modelling at a high level are desired.

- Knowledge of Shareplex, Oracle Streams and Golden Gate is desired.

- Previous experience on clustering is a big plus

- 3+ years of experience in a Client facing / Executive business consulting role

- 2+ years of experience as solution or enterprise architect with a proven track record of implementing innovative strategies / solutions.

- Strong ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholders is required.

- Exceptional ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people.

- Bachelor & Master Degree in Information Technology or related field required
