Job Description - Details of Responsibilities / Purpose of Job :

This position requires the candidate to have strong financial planning and analysis skills. The candidate will support the Optum Technology commercial business by assisting in the preparation of yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts, month end reports, and ad hoc analyses.

Job Components :

- Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for both revenue and expense- Publishing of monthly departmental financial P&Ls with variance analyses- Publishing financial information related to individual commercial contracts to report on contract profitability

- Providing the contract pricing team with expense and profitability historical trends to ensure subsequent project bids are profitable

- Tracking and analyzing key business performance metrics

- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and working with relevant parties to remediate

- Pipeline analysis, using sales force & provide insights on deal trending etc.

Qualification - Required Skills :

- Masters in Commerce with a Finance background / Chartered Accountant

- Minimum of 6-8 years of finance experience in a technology setting

- Strong financial analysis and P&L management skills

- Business partnering

- Strong system skills especially MS Excel with the ability to create complex financial models- Familiarity with financial reporting tools ( e.g. PeopleSoft, Essbase, etc.)

- Experience working with strict deadlines and a proven ability to be successful in a fast paced environment

- Curious, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the willingness and ability to proactively resolve issues without significant structure or rules- Strong inter personal skills

Good to have Skills :

- Understanding of Technology services industry

- Microsoft Access skills

- Experience developing automated reporting

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree / Masters degree in Commerce with a Finance emphasis/Chartered Accountant-
