Job Description -

Roles and Responsibilities

- Perform end to end data analysis and research including data pull and data preparation to support business needs using statistical software/packages including but not limited to SQL,HIVE, SAS, R

- Understand business metrics and build data landscape that sets the platform for further analytical exercise to derive further inferences from data

- Work on building and validating relevant hypothesis in different research areas. Use basic statistical analysis like clustering/regression to create datasets and discover relationships

- Analyze, identify and assess data attributes using statistical software packages; develop recommendations and processes to improve operational performance ensuring adherence to department policies and procedures

- Develop understanding of business processes, goals and strategy in order to provide analysis and interpretation to management

- Research project ideas in specific fields of healthcare and build POC on hypothesis generated

- Gain understanding of business needs and necessary analysis where appropriate through internal discussions

- Identify areas for improvement, communicating action plans to supervisor or clients.

- Work closely with the management team to summarize and present project findings and insights

- Provide project lead or project sponsor with status reports throughout assigned projects

- Should be able to improve existing analytical solutions or suggest new solutions for specific problem areas

- Ensure high sense of project ownership

- Ensure timely and proper communication to Business Partners and Leaders

- Engage in communications with business partners for all important functions associated with the new engagements and, projects including data understanding, solution design etc.

- Participate in client meetings as SME and identify upcoming changes in healthcare environment

Qualification - Required Skill set

- Education Level: Graduate in Mathematics / Economics / Finance/Engineering/

- At least 3 years of hands on experience in data analytics using SAS/SQL/R. Candidates who have demonstrable skill in data analysis and modelling would be preferred

- Experience in preparing power point slides to present/summarize the project insights

- Knowledge of US Health Insurance industry preferred

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating good level of maturity

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Excellent interpersonal and team skills

- Professional, service oriented, proactive and flexible

- Good knowledge of MS Office
