Job Description - Pega Offshore Project Manager

- Position is required to play a significant role in insuring that the application quality is of highest standards. He/she should ensure that the team follows process.

- This role becomes the key point of responsibility in monitoring and controlling day to day development progress.

This Role is :

- Responsible for team forming, storming, norming and performing.

- Participates in release scheduling meetings to insure capacity arrangements for upcoming projects.

- Accountable for overall delivery (schedule and quality compliance) for all Pega projects.

- Identifies training needs for offshore team and insures training implementation as required.

- Participates in iteration planning.

- Insures appropriate distribution of work to offshore team.

- First level of escalation point for offshore team.

- Insures higher productivity levels for the team.

- Participate in demand and capacity management for overall portfolio.

- Participate in project status meetings with EPMO PM.

- Insures proper rewards and recognition.

- Monitor and Control the development progress.

- Identifies risk in timely manner and insures appropriate mitigation.

- Conflict management.

- Insures effective RCA for all defects/issues and drive lesson learned sessions.

- Insures compliance to all processes.

- Continuously monitors scope of the project to avoid scope creep.

- Interact with onshore delivery manager to discuss issues and identify solutions to ensure better execution.

- Drive team to identify cost savings and cost avoidance by implementing better solutions, promote reusability and reduction in defects.

- Drives process improvement based on the past learning.

- Work with PM to bring required changes in Iteration Plan throughout the project to balance demand and capacity.

- Working knowledge of Pega process methodologies SmartBPM/Scrum etc.

Qualification : Pega Offshore Delivery Manager Qualifications:

Pega knowledge :

- 3+ years of experience of managing medium to large scale pega projects.

- 10+ year experience working on software development projects

- Should have experience on implementing one project end to end using Agile Scrum or any other Agile implementation.

- Ability to organize and facilitate discussions with 10+ people (all levels)

- Strong oral and written communications

- Familiarity with iterative and agile methodologies (i.e. RUP, SCRUM)

Experience with the Pega Health Care Frameworks
