Job Description:
- Effectively understand Optum's culture, mission and working environment both internally and externally to increase internal engagement and attract external talent by developing a strong employer brand proposition
- Develop and execute the organization's employer branding & engagement strategies and campaigns; work closely with cross functional teams to ensure the alignment of internal and external messaging
- Establishes strong stakeholder relationships, and work with key business and cross functional stakeholders and team members to create an always on employer branding campaign, with a special focus on tech talent
- Partner closely with tech leadership to define our unique value proposition for attracting tech talent through brand awareness campaigns and initiatives
- Take the lead on the brand, marketing, and communications campaign focused on campus engagements
- Define target audience and develop marketing campaigns and messaging that promote Optum as an employer of choice and authentically communicate our unique culture
- Identify and engage with traditional media outlets, new age platforms, and external engagement channels; expected to have strong media relations with HR beat journalists
- Project manage day-to-day planning and execution of brand and marketing efforts to support hiring initiatives led by Talent Marketing & Talent Acquisition teams
- Establish a regular cadence of relevant, easily accessible content that can be amplified through various communication channels. This includes collateral design and content creation for brochures, presentations, one-pagers, newsletters, etc.
- Produce and coordinate content execution for careers website and other channels
- Monitor employer branding plan milestone completion; identify process and operational roadblocks; own and consult solution development with stakeholders (like Talent marketing & Talent Acquisition, Human Capital & internal communication teams) and escalates critical decisions to reach alignment. Measure, report and adjust activities based on outcomes.
- Collaborate with talent marketing, talent acquisition and human capital teams on all external campaigns focused on hiring and recruitments
- Own major end-to-end processes, activities, and events, take initiative, and use problem solving skills to think beyond the task to deliver targeted outcomes.
- Maintain partnerships with digital / PR agency and related vendors to design and execute the employer branding events, initiatives and campaigns
- Act as Subject Matter Expert within Employer Branding by providing the best knowledge, proper external benchmarks, best practices, and innovative solutions to support the business
Skills:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, marketing, communications, advertising or related fields and 8+ years of relevant experience; must have recruiting, branding, and marketing experience in a B2B / technology/ ITes/ Healthcare company
- A strong understanding of employer branding, and a track record of building relevant and engaging content
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.), forums like Glassdoor, Quora, Indeed, etc., and paid media landscape, including new/shifting platforms and solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in creative B2B tech content writing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting, with external agencies and other departments
- Understanding of how to track and evaluate metrics associated with recruiting and marketing campaigns to determine ROI
- Strong project management skills and Microsoft Office knowledge is essential. Ideal candidates have experience managing website content and working with Google analytics, SEM, etc.
