Team Overview (SSVM) :

- Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management (SSVM) function enables UnitedHealth Group global IT, ITES talent sourcing program.

- SSVM is primarily responsible for developing a comprehensive global sourcing and supplier strategy for UnitedHealth Group, and implementing the same.

- Within SSVM, Market Intelligence function is responsible for gathering comprehensive Market Intelligence on sourcing trends, vendors, new service offerings, emerging geographies and competitors.

Job Description :

- Identify current trends in the healthcare outsourcing industry, collect intelligence on recent developments across competitors/vendors and developing research reports on them

- Gather and structure relevant data and information through primary and secondary research

- Develop presentations/ collaterals to support the sourcing decision making process

Key responsibilities :

- Track healthcare and outsourcing industry news on a daily basis

- Prepare a weekly newsletter covering current information on industry, vendors and competitors

- Develop and maintain database of outsourcing contracts in the healthcare industry, using secondary sources

- Prepare industry reports covering market/location overview, industry size, market players, analyst viewpoint, trends and developments, drivers and challenges

- Collect intelligence on vendors and competitors covering company basic description, services, geographic spread, management structure, financials, M&A, contracts, analyst outlook

Qualification :

Qualification and skills required :

- Graduate with 2+ years of relevant experience in a research organization

- Knowledge of various research databases such as Factiva, Gartner, Hoovers, IDC, Everest, etc.

- Comfortable with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Outlook

- Ability to meet aggressive timelines for ad-hoc requests by senior management

- Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail

- Critical thinking and analytical skills

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of the healthcare industry a plus
