Position Overview :

- As an Individual contributor, this person would be responsible for driving IT Cost Optimization Projects across UnitedHealth Group. The person should have prior experience in IT Operations Analytics.

- The person will be expected to build utilization level metrics / dashboard as per industry standard for IT domain (including but not limited to Server Utilization metrics, Storage Utilization Metrics, Database Utilization Metrics) and identify areas where the IT Cost optimization is possible.

- The person will exposed to various cross functional teams for day to day work. The individual will be responsible for his / her projects to be kept fully documented (objective, requirements, analysis plan, technical design, recommendations etc.) and communication of results in a timely and effective manner.

- Additionally, the individual have to work with the analytical leadership team in exploring & expanding the Tech Economics footprint within UHG as appropriate.

Job Responsibilities :

- As part of the seeding team, the individual should be comfortable working across cross-functional teams, in building POCs / Pilots of new IT projects.

- The person will be expected to build utilization level metrics / dashboard as per industry standard for IT domain (including but not limited to Server Utilization metrics, Storage Utilization Metrics, Database Utilization Metrics, Network Utilization, Share-point Utilization and Mainframe Utilization etc.)

- The person have prior experience in IT Operations Analytics (mandatory)

- Build Predictive Models & Time-series, Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Decision Tree Modelling etc Scorecard building

- The person will build risk-stratification documents for individual IT Cost Optimization Projects to help the Service groups / business functions make informed decisions.

- Work closely with his / her manager and internal/external clients to understand the business problem and contribute towards approach design.

- Ensure smooth delivery of analytics projects undertaken and be personally responsible for day-to-day project communications

- Create holistic dashboards by pulling data from different data sources and websites for presentations to senior management team.

- Strong project management skills, Ability to handle complex projects in a multi-tasking environment, effectively prioritize ones time, manage expectations and deliverables.

- A self-starter, who proactively drives projects, looks for new and better ways of doing things, can lead and gain consensus. Shows drive, passion and a sense of ownership.

Qualification :

Desired Profile :

- 4 - 6 years of experience in Consulting / Business Analyst profile in any consulting (preferably big 4) / IT MNC in executing IT Cost Optimization projects as individual contributor and/ or as a team member.

- Advanced degree (B.Tech / M.Tech / MSc.) from Top-tier institute.

- Should have good command over IT Architectural landscape, relationships between different IT elements such as Servers, Storage, Database, Network (LAN-WAN), End User Computing, Virtualizations, monitoring tools.

- Exposure to Log level Analytics / Analysis would be added advantage.-

- Strong exposure to MS Xcel, MS PowerPoint & an analytical bent to slice-dice business data-

- Should have a minimum of 3+ years of working knowledge in R - data preparation, model design & report-outs.

- Statistical Tool - R, Python will be added advantage

- Exposure to VBA, Access, SQL is an added advantage

- Good communication skills (both oral & written) in order to participate in project discussions internally within the team & with end customers

- Ability to make need-based travel specific to projects in short notice (including internationally)
