Engagement Overview :
- Technology Engineering is a product engineering centric organization within United Helath Group, which focuses on development of healthcare products using PDLM & other prevailing industry standard techniques.

Works with multiple payers : UHC, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, healthfirst, Amerigroup & BCBS
Responsibilities :
- Supervise up to seven software developers, primarily co-located team.
- Manage several simultaneous UI/UX engagements with multiple products.
- Ensure High quality of development is followed.
- Championing the customer needs and implementing a model of continuous improvement in both company goals and project related tasks
- Report project status to peers, executives, and customers.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, User Experience Teams, Delivery Leads and Account Managers to define project scope, schedule, and resources.
- Driving User Centered Design into all aspects of the development life cycle
- Collaboratively developing prototypes for demonstration of concepts
- Defining and designing User Experience Architectures (comprised of navigational systems, information architectures, interaction flows, sitemaps, etc)
- Creating wireframes, identifying key screen types and generating interactive user flows
- Analyzing and synthesizing user research and understanding to define appropriate functionality and requirements
- Analyzing website traffic and analytics
- Conducting usability testing, analyzing the results and creating a recommendations report. Manage staff training plans and mentor direct reports for career development.
- Conduct annual employee reviews for direct reports.
- Recruit and interview new employees.

Qualification/Requirements :
- Minimum 11 years experience in developing commercial products, web applications, or services used by external customers.
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in managing employees and projects.
- Thorough understanding of agile software development methodology (Scrum) and industry best practices. Develops strong partnerships across our organization
- Brings a positive, service-oriented approach to work
- Is driven by creating unique and efficient solutions for business challenges
- Can articulate thoughts clearly as well as listen to and considers others ideas
- Is passionate about their contribution to Fossil

- Thorough understanding of application security issues, including common web application exploits.

- Strong technical and platform knowledge, including some or all of HTML/CSS, UI tools and technologies
