Details of Responsibilities / Purpose of Job :
- This position requires the candidate to have a good understanding of Finance function including Accounts Payable (Vendor invoices, expense report), General Ledger, Auditing and financial reporting with strong accounting background.
- He/She need to support Business Segment in terms daily banking activities, support on pricing and coordinating the information from Core pricing team, extracting reports for analysis etc. He/She completes the daily accounting and country specific compliances.
Job Components :
- Managing vendor invoices, employee expense reports. Preparation of vendor aging and reconciliation of vendor balances on quarterly basis.
- Collect, summarize and prepare schedule/backup for month close journals ( Working on Revenue, Claims, GST &FBT, Corporate Tax, SG&A, Accruals, Payroll, Fixed Assets Dep & Cap Journal Entries)
- Support Sales/commercial team on pricing deals- Review the RFP documents submitted in the region and advice Sales/Pricing team on finance perspectives.
- Perform financial statement variance analysis and explanation (actuals vs. forecast, period-over-period actuals)
- Fixed asset accounting
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies, contracts and regulations (including country specific)- Completion of Month\Quarter \ Year end close
- Completion of Statutory audit (s) within stipulated time-frame.
- Assist with implementing and maintain internal controls and procedure
- Support improvement Projects/ initiatives

Qualification/Required Skills :
- Masters in Commerce/ CPA- Knowledge accounting policies/practices of UAE region (Dubai)
- Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in total- Strong accounting knowledge understanding of GL, Sub ledger, Source document- Displays understanding of Admin system (Policy & claims sub system) interface with Ledger
- Working knowledge of ERP ( Ex: PeopleSoft, Essbase, Excel, etc)
- Experience working with strict deadlines (i.e. month-end close process) and proven ability to be successful in a fast paced environment
- Analytical skills & an inquisitive mind, strong communication skills and documentation ability, detail oriented, self-motivated and ability to proactively work toward a goal without significant structure or rules
- Working knowledge on MS Excel
