Responsibilities in this role include :

- Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports.

- Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close.

- Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles.

- Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits.

- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation.

- Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position.

- Assist with or lead the month end quarterly end close process for assigned businesses or groups

- Support the Consulting business performing a variety of interactions and work; Review consulting contracts and work with the Accounting Lead to set up billing and revenue rules.

- The Accounting Lead will be responsible for final review and closing out of the projects.

- Revenue recognition skill in a GAAP environment.

- Will have some interaction with both the business and internal customer to provide support and resolve project questions (Open Air/PeopleSoft)

- Post JE's during month end for both recurring activities and as directed by Accounting Lead (Amortization, standard monthly Journals)

- Perform account reconciliations and analyses to determine when and how balances will clear.

- Reconciliations will be reviewed prior to final submission. Close to 80 accounts reconciliations to be performed.

- Involvement in the monthly/quarterly/annual 'close' process

- Requirement to work US shift during month ends to support the close process.

- Support internal and external audits by providing information to Accounting Lead as requested.

- Post cash receipts from customers to open Accounts Receivable balances.

- Generate various reports to help support the accounting functions and system audits (Standard PeopleSoft system reports)

- Develop innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.

- Assist in collections efforts by e-mail customers open invoices.

Qualification :

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent-2+ year of accounting experience-Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements

- Communicates in an effective manner

- Collaborates with peers to complete projects

- Demonstrates the drive and motivation to deliver high quality results based on thorough analysis
