Senior Analyst, Research Operations :

Summary of the Position :

The Senior Analyst role is a non-supervisory position in the Research Operations (ResOps) department within the Strategy and Business Development division at USP in Hyderabad, India. The ResOps department performs a centralized market research function for USP - supporting all levels of the global organization including the Executive Team. The Senior Market Research Analyst role is responsible for helping to ensure quality data and insight is produced by the team, supporting organizational understanding of U.S. Pharmacopoeia's customers and business environment. This position's scope encompasses in-depth organizational knowledge of USP's Public Health Programs, including official standards publications, reference standards, pharmacopeial education, verification, and other products and services to facilitate sound decision making.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Primary research programming, stewards data collection, data processing, open-end coding, analysis, charting and reporting. Provides initial recommendations and writes reports for ad hoc research projects.

- Contributes to implementation of primary market research to support strategic, tactical and operational initiatives as well as planning and implementation of new and potential USP products and programs.

- Conducts product-market analysis to support new product development, marketing activities, and evaluation of existing products and markets.

- Should be able to perform advanced visualization in Tableau, using survey data, as required by Research Managers.

- Identifies, researches, profiles and monitors USP's competitors and their product lines.

- Executes research plans either directly or through vendor resources as assigned.

- Train others in principles of quality market research, literature search, and/or analysis.

- Focus on coaching new skills and sharing expertise at all levels within the organization.

- Performs other market research duties as required.

Basic Qualifications :

- Degree required. Preferred majors in business/commerce/statistics/computer science/market research with at least 6 or more years of experience working on primary market research projects.

- Advanced-level data visualization skills (Tableau or Power BI) required, including demonstrated experience with displaying market research results in an easy to understand as well as segmented views.

Preferred Qualifications :

- At least 5 or more year of experience working on primary market research projects with master's degree. MBA or other relevant master's degree preferred such as, market research, statistics, computer science, quantitative public health or social science disciplines, or other related fields.

- Highly proficient in market research methodologies including demonstrated experience working on concept testing, A&U, pricing, segmentation and other models.

- Highly proficient in Excel skills and intermediate skills for other MS Office applications

- Strong communication skills required: Verbal, written, and interpersonal

- Ability to present market research results to a non-technical/non-market research audience.

- Self-motivated and able to handle multiple concurrent projects and prioritize tasks independently

- Excellent time and project management skills.

- Has the ability to deal with ambiguity independently.

- Has the ability to work at all levels of the organization.

- Has the ability to work across a global company.

- Has the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Has the ability to handle change.
