Job Purpose

- Leading a team to perform the functions listed below.

- Priority Sector Lending - Strategy and Monitoring

- Active monitoring of banks PSL position

- Forecasting/estimation of PSL positions prior to quarter-end

- Liaising with business divisions to ensure target achievement

- The framing of the penalty/benefit structure to drive PSL business

- Conducting of PSL Committee meetings periodically, apprise senior management of position and concerns, assignment of actionables and follow through.

- Assessing the scope of infra bonds

- Submission of Calendar of Review to the Board on PSL business and target achievement

- Funds Transfer Pricing - Strategy, Implementation and Automation

- Framing of strategy/policy for funds transfer pricing to ensure effective transmission of funding cost

- Implementation of policy entailing monthly computation of transfer pricing rates, application, review of rates, etc.

- Engaging with businesses/treasury for modification/updation of pricing rules

- Moving to new system for generation of rates and stamping (automation)

Budgeting and planning :

- Preparation of budgeted financial statements

- Computation of budgeted transfer pricing rates, determination of planned asset/liability balances for Banks balance sheet, central office expenses/income, etc.

- Analysis of budgets, highlight concerns/inadequacies

- Review of budgets with senior management

- Preparation and review of Board presentation on business strategies and budget

- Submission of Calendar of Review to the Board on budget achievement and variance thereof

Business Division Profitability :

- Preparation and roll out of business profitability reports on a monthly basis

- Review and checking of reports

- Undertaking process improvements for speeding up the preparation process

- Engaging with analyst teams/business for query resolution

- Preparation and review of senior management profitability reports

- Submission of performance-related information to the human resources department

- Move to System generation of reports

Segment Financials :

- Preparation and analysis of segment financials on a quarterly basis for Indian & US GAAP

- Undertake modifications for enhancing the quality and meaningfulness of the reports

- Undertake review with senior management; undertake query resolution, providing additional information, etc.

- Engage with auditors for the audit of statement and query resolution

- Submission of information pertaining to a segmental statement to RBI

- ICAAP

- Preparation of a three-year plan for regulatory capital projection

- Updation of relevant sections of the Banks ICAAP document

- Review with seniors

Educational :

- Graduation: B.Com

- Post-Graduation: Chartered accountant / MBA (Finance)

Key Skills :

- Analytical, presentation skills

- Well versed with relevant accounting standards, RBI guidelines; conversant with Financial Accounting

- Knowledge of banking business, the banking industry, and regulatory environment

- Fluent Communication skills

- Familiar with excel/word/ppt software

Experience Required :

- Minimum experience of 10-12 years in the finance team and from the finance industry, preferably Banking

- Chartered Accountant

- Prior experience must include exposure to financial accounting and reporting

- Major Stakeholders(intra team and cross-functional stakeholders, who would need to be interacted with for discharging duties)

- Senior management i.e. CFO, Executive Directors, Chairperson, Group Heads

- All Business divisions across the bank
