JOB TITLE: SENIOR MANAGER-SAP BASIS  LOCATION: BANGALORE  BUSINESS CONTEXT:  The One BASIS Manager is to be a - hands on- role from a technical management. perspective and is expected to be able to converse with the function/discipline directors & teams on SAP related issues & to be close to any ongoing incidents, to under write any remediation/resolution plans.   The One BASIS Manager will have at least 12 years- experience relevant from a SAP Basis / OS DB migration consulting background, should ideally have worked as part of an SAP project team (in Solutioning, Project or Programme Management, Basis or DBA capacity) as part of a full lifecycle roll out of SAP products in either a retail, banking, FMCG or similar customer environments. Experience of working as part of an SAP consultancy &/or IT provider would also be desirable. The One BASIS Manager should ideally have Prince2, PMI accreditation or relevant experience perhaps from a track record of successful delivery as a project or programme manager. Experience as a technical SME, & team management experience would also be beneficial.   One BASIS Manager is expected to stay abreast of core SAP technology developments &/or service capabilities for key vendors (as could lead to influencing Technology roadmaps & associated capabilities undertaken) & as such is expected to attend technology update sessions, SAPPHIRE, TechEd or other similarly suitable vendor forums ongoing.   One BASIS Manager is expected to build operational efficiency by identifying areas, where automation capability can assist strengthening organisation BASIS and security deliverables.  Global nature of this role, there is a requirement to travel albeit somewhat limited (10%). Out of hours working maybe required on an adhoc basis, based on need/ urgency or support to the team as part of any incident or other activity requiring management. Over sight or snr facilitation & reporting.   RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:  ESSENTIAL:  - 12+ years IT Project/Architecture/Management. experience)  - 12 to 18 years functional experience in SAP BASIS  - SAP infrastructure programme and Operational Support - SAP BASIS and Database  - Certification is a plus.  - Strong leader, team Management experience  - Successful track record of leading Programs/portfolios, in excess of 1m-   - Successful track record of leading a team in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment  - Successful track record of building relationships across the (SIC) Programmes / Portfolio's and Business environment in which the (SIC) Programmes / Projects are delivering  - Demonstrated ability to develop & ensure alignment to QA processes  - Demonstrated ability to use Programme / Project control processes  - Excellent Communication ability (written / verbal)   - Excellent Stakeholder Management skills  - Management toolset (Clarity, MS Project and MS Office Suite)  - Demonstrated ability to use collaboration tools (Audio Conferencing, Video Conferencing, Live Meeting, Share-point)  - Broad understanding of SAP products in a Global Environment/ context   - Broad knowledge of Global SAP infrastructure requirements (inc. storage, network, servers, tooling, capacity management & planning  - Broad knowledge of SAP Landscape management (System refreshes and release cycles)  - Broad knowledge of IBM infrastructure and products (pSeries frames, TSM, Db2, TSA, PowerHA) (- 5yrs)  - PMI (or equivalent) certification  DESIRABLE:  - Educated to degree level or holds a professional qualification.  - ITIL/v3 Foundation/Practitioner/Manager.
