JOB PROFILE

Job Position: Financial officer for Treasury Controls and Reporting (project role)

Reports to: Manager-Treasury Controls and Reporting

Function: BFS-Business Finance Services as part of ES Location: Bangalore

Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job:

Within the service catalogue of ES, Finance Services organisation is responsible for the management and delivery of Finance Services globally, both through third-party outsourced providers and through in-sourced operations.

The treasury control and reporting team is responsible for accurate and timely execution of day to day Treasury related deals within an approved SLA. It will also be responsible for systems and controls framework, upgradations to the same and reporting to enhance service levels to UL customers.

Key activities summary: Managing Systems and interface of Treasury Controls and Reporting operations

- Be able to build reports/interfaces for management reporting and appropriate checks and controls (is this needed)

- Support the set up of the program to interface between treasury system and ERP systems - SAP, CODA across all SAP platforms and ensure this works smoothly

- Accounting for treasury transactions for operating companies centrally through operating companies (needs rewording I think)

- Progress and quality reporting to treasury Control and reporting team

- Perform the finance cost reporting for the parent and finance entities together with analysis and forecast for finance cost for Unilever as a whole.

Main Accountabilities:

- Futher implement the treasury reporting system - Finance Kit for accounting and reporting purposes

- Understand the different interfaces to and from Fkit and maintain the system for reporting changes

- Set up and maintain the interaction between treasury system and ERP system CODA

- Maintain ERP system CODA and reporting tool BOXI, build new reports for management reporting purposes, build reports to automate reporting (needed)

- Understand Sky reports and start building reports which would improve efficiency in reporting (needed- )

- Understand Financial reporting of finance cost for the parent and finance entities

- Understand accounting done for operating companies for treasury instruments centrally

- Ensure systems audit is properly prepared and handed over to sr managers

Key accountabilities

Customer Service

- Manage systems setups of Treasury portfolios and instruments as per country requirements.

- Increase efficiency of current accounting and reporting processes

- Lead change management

- Get clean audit report

- To excel in service levels and work on continuous improvement, providing a high standard of customer service.

- Design service levels, quality measurement,

Quality

- Understand the system infrastructure

- Understand the different treasury instruments, portfolios etc

General-

- Lead change management

- Lead training and development of the team to meet the service expectations of stakeholders.

- Create effective backups in team through knowledge sharing and dissemination

- Understand and demonstrate the values and culture of the department.

- Be accountable and responsible for the services that are expected to be delivered out of the service hub.

- Hold people responsible within the teams on agreed ways of working.

- The role may require some working of non-standard hours as workload dictates

Resources - Work within a team of 12 members (is this correct)

Key Contacts - Global Front office, Banks, UL countries and their Treasury personnel that are serviced by Global Treasury BO, Business Partners, 3P service providers, External and internal auditors.

Key Skills required

- Practical accounting experience of treasury instruments (pref)

- Expertise on systems and integrating technology with accounting

- Demonstrated abilities on treasury accounting system implementation

- Business partnering and communication skills while ensuring service mindset within the team

- Ability to apply professional knowledge in developing better robust processes.

- Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret problems / data gathered from a variety of sources;

- Analytical power: Capability to translate data into understandable and actionable Management Information

- Maintain a high performance culture within the team

- Demonstrated ability to work with a range of technically and culturally diverse people

- Ability to work under pressure and within strict non-negotiable timelines

- Ability to take quick and correct actions in emergency situations

- Demonstrated ability to successfully contribute multiple projects & competing priorities in a time sensitive environment.

Relevant Experience

- Financial accountant (preferentially with Treasury accounting and reporting experience) - 4-5 years

- Project management skills

- Worked with treasury systems and aptitude for working with new systems

- Hands on experience in handling multiple systems implementation (preferably in treasury controls)

- Should be self-driven and have the ability to translate vision into actions and lead execution

- Demonstrated ability of working on Treasury reporting systems or projects to improve efficiency through systems

- Previous experience of working with different cultures and countries would be an advantage
