Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated and results-driven Sales Professionals to join our dynamic team for business development in Freight Forwarding and NVOCC. In this role, you will focus on increasing revenue and profitability by acquiring new clients, driving business growth, and achieving revenue and gross profit targets set by management through effective execution of sales strategies, with a focus on key products and trade lanes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales and profitability goals as per management targets.
- Provide regular sales activity and performance reports.
- Drive new sales, improve profit margins, and enhance customer satisfaction through business reviews.
- Exceed sales revenue and profitability goals for air & ocean business.
- Conduct regular sales and customer service meetings internally and externally.
- Negotiate rates, proposals, and manage sales materials.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
- Engage daily with customers to assess needs and resolve issues.
- Assist in developing and implementing Sales and Marketing procedures.
- Develop marketing materials for company services.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in assigned territory.
- Create freight programs that align with client needs, costs, and market conditions.
- Provide weekly and monthly business reports to management.
- Conduct strategic account reviews and identify profitable opportunities.
- Focus on high-margin accounts and create action plans for low-margin clients.
- Review past activity, forecasts, and market opportunities, and plan for the upcoming year.
- Negotiate favorable Accounts Receivable terms with customers and vendors.
- Support overall business development and sales performance.
- Collaborate with pricing and customer service for large key customer strategies.
- Analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Education: Degree in business, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 4 - 8 years in freight forwarding, NVOCC, or logistics-related industries.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding, NVOCC operations, and international shipping.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas.
Key skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to plan and manage time effectively to meet sales targets.
- Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Addressing client needs and challenges with effective solutions.
- Creating and delivering compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
