For a FMCG beverage startup that is reimagining beverages for urban health conscious consumers. Launched by ex-marketing head of Simplilearn, Freecharge, Flipkart with stints at Heinz & Dabur, the startup is getting funding from prominent investors.
Scope : All India sales ownership
Location : Mumbai
Reports to Founder & CEO
FMCG experience is a MUST. Beverage experience is highly preferable and will be a selection criteria. Role is part of the Management team and highly strategic in nature.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for driving the national business for all channels - general trade / MT / institutional.
- Opportunity to build and lead a team of RMs, ASMs, Sales officer and indirect distribution network from scratch.
- Build a volume and value business from a low base and drive dramatic growth.
- Plan for optimal coverage by channel and by geography
- Benchmarking with peer FMCG companies, implement best GTM practices like robust forecasting process, skuwise availability, cfa and distributor availability, credit management and driving other sales operational efficiencies
- Implement strong sales systems which ensure strong monitoring and control
- Leading and driving best in class in-store execution.
- Team hiring, training and development plans.
- As part of initial management team, deliver key market insights to inform marketing and product development.
- Deliver a strong strategic view on growing volume and capturing market share.
Previous Skills and experience
- Either post-b-school sales 9+ years in a premier FMCG company or frontline sales 14+ years experience with at least 5 years handling direct reportees in a regional structure.
- Mission-oriented and highly passionate about working in an early stage startup
Other
- As a startup, there will be generous ESOPs, much higher responsibility, scope to create impact and fast growth, one may expect a slight reduction in salary for a year or so. Candidates who are applying need to be cognizant of this.
