Procurement Manager (CBS Role B):

- Work with local business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and controllership improvements

- Provide guidance to local employees on procurement principles, policies and processes and maintain procurement ethics in accordance with UL's global policies and procedures

- Work closely with the business teams to understand their purchasing needs and align them with the best suppliers to meet their long-term goals while focusing on total cost of ownership (TCO)

- Identify and manage procurement and supplier engagement activities, RFPs, bid and proposal reviews, negotiations, contract awards, etc.

- Develop negotiation strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers

- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models

- Prepare and hold business reviews with local stakeholders to review vendor performance, future opportunities and/or challenges

- Implement supply and supplier risk management actions and support resolution of supplier quality or performance issues

- Managing vendor contracts working closely with the legal team at UL to ensure that all procurement processes and documentation are in place before POs are raised. Prepare all documentation for potential internal and external audits.

- Check the maintenance of record keeping and storage in soft and hard form and over all maintenance of ISO requirement in the department

- Vendor relations- vendor payment processing, vendor bill follow-ups, vendor bill checking, samples etc.

- Support engineering managers on inventory control and management

- Highest degree of ethics and integrity

- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA/ BE) required

- 7+ years of relevant sourcing experience at a multinational corporation with national and global contracts

- In-depth understanding of best-in-class procurement processes (sourcing, contracting, negotiation, etc.)

- Extensive knowledge of contract terms and conditions and in country laws and regulations

- Extremely customer focused and takes the time to understand the needs of the business

- Outstanding partnering, influencing and negotiation skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Fluency in English (written and spoken)

- Ability to interpret financial data and apply to decision making

- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment

- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA or Master's Degree

- Six Sigma Certification

- Experience in Project Management

- Highest degree of ethics and integrity

- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) required
