ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE
- The incumbent shall be primarily responsible in assisting Manager -Policy (Credit MSME) for formation and review of credit policy for new and existing products.
- He/ She shall also be responsible for providing support to MSME Credit for growing quality business with actionable insights based on analysis of MSME portfolio, market forces and competitors.
- He/She shall be also responsible in assisting Manager Policy (Credit MSME) in the IT driven projects, process improvement and new initiatives in the MSME vertical.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Business/Financials (Only Relevant roles)
- To form credit policy for new products as may be introduced in MSME.
- To form credit policies around the various partnerships with Fin-tech coming in on a regular basis.
- To monitor regulatory framework and make policy to comply by the same.
- Based on the requirements of the Business/Function Heads, collect data, analyze & interpret results using statistical techniques and provide reports to enable decision making.
- Use complex data to prove a certain business hypothesis; provide data decision support for top management/Board.
- Design and budget credit cost forecasting model, expense model for the department.
- Identify the gaps in case of under/over consumption.
- Work with credit team stakeholders to ensure that we do not overshoot budgets.
- Liaison with other departments as required in execution of tasks.
- To respond & to close queries raised in various audits.
- Implement & execute deliverables as warranted by Compliance team.
- Customer (Both Internal & External)
- Support the Credit to enhance the quality of product delivery to customers by identifying bottlenecks in the turnaround time and highlighting the same to them through careful analysis of the observations.
- Provide advice to the regional teams in dealing with credit underwriting; serve as a single point of contact for queries & clarifications with respect to data for credit policies & processes.
- Provide robust analysis of credit data to enable decision making in a timely manner.
- Match the requirements from internal customers on analytics to ensure timely decision making & reduction of re-work.
- Internal Process
- Review of applied policy of various MSME products to meet the risk needs of the prevailing economic environment.
- Conduct Policy related trainings for benefit of front-line teams.
- Review the portfolio performance in close association with risk teams and recommend policy amends accordingly.
- Test the policy knowledge of the underwriting team and recommend DOA accordingly.
- Coordinating with IT team for issue resolution related to credit
- Timely submission of regulatory returns without compromise in quality in close liaison with various internal stakeholders.
- Adhere to all timelines for the provision of data or key interpretations.
- Innovation & Learning
- Knowledge transfer and grooming of new inductees into the team.
- Train various credit as well as business teams for better comprehension on the credit policy.
Educational Qualifications:
- Post Graduate in Management/Finance preferably Chartered Accountant/MBA in Finance with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- Preferred experience of 3-4 years or more in Credit Secured Loan products (Term loans/Working capital limits).
- Experience in Credit Risk Management
