UI/UX Design Lead - IIT/NIT

We are looking for an experienced and talented UI/UX professional for a leadership role. The ideal candidate should have experience working in agile teams, with developers, UX designers, and copywriters. You will be able to make deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction. The candidate would be responsible for:

- Optimize existing user interface designs

- Develop standard UI components and style guides for company-wide use

- Support the QA team to make sure features are implemented as intended

- Create and implement interactions, animations and user interface specifications

- All your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles such as color palette, visual order, etc

- Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and appearance

- Conduct industry research and stay up to date on best practice, competitor benchmarking and emerging technologies

- Conduct testing of completed applications, features, websites and dashboards to assess user experience

Requirements :

- Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during the interview

- Proficient with visual design and collaboration programmes such as Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, zeplin or invision

- Expert knowledge of responsive design, Mobile UI and scalable visual guides

- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, agile design process under minimal supervision

- Prior experience of working on vernacular products will be a plus

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently

- Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it

- Should possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills
