UI/UX Design Lead

- Lead the Team, Strategy and Process of all things Design, working alongside the Product and UX team. Develop and lead the interface and visual design language of consumer and internal products.

- Our consumers represent a myriad of personalities - core users (teens), leading industry experts, schools, parents, teachers/facilitators and in house.

- Drive strategic projects and enhancements related to the design of our product, learning tools and internal tools that are rooted in user-centric design, and are easy to use, accessible, delightful and solve complex problem statements and use cases.

Responsibilities :

- Lead a small team of visual designers who will together create end-to-end flows, wireframes, visual design mockups, prototypes, interaction models and ui specifications across platforms - web and mobile applications.

- Collaborate with Product, Tech and other Leads across to drive meaningful and delightful designs.

- Evaluate and set best UI practices and standards. - Work on design systems and a unified design language.

Skills/Attitude :

- Visual Design and User Interface Design

- Create pixel-perfect visual designs with a good sense of aesthetics (typography, colors and more). Have a keen eye and attention to detail, flows, exhaustiveness in states etc.

- Define and create UI mockups, iconography, illustrations, ui animations, transitions, design systems, UI libraries and more!

- Storytelling, Presentation & Collaboration:

- Present, articulate and align different stakeholders around your designs.

- Collaborate closely with engineers, communicate and monitor your designs, your vision and execute it with perfection.

Expertise with Tools:

- Work with different design tools like illustrator, sketch, figma, XD, prototyping tools like invision, proto.io and animation tools like after effects etc.

Visual Language:

- Define and maintain a consistent visual design system and language across our internal and external products.

- Experimental and bold:

- An attitude that is experimental and open to trying out bold ideas, and drive unique and novel approaches, when required.

- User experience design and processes, defining end to end flows, research, writing, programming, curiosity to tinker with new tools, video production and more.

- Hold other creative inclinations and hobbies that represent your unique personality.

Required :

- 5-8 years of experience with consumer facing products, responsive web app designs and mobile designs

- Strong online portfolio with examples of designing great user-centered designs and case studies to back them up

- Shipped multiple end-to-end experiences

- While you may or may not have an educational background in the same field, we require absolutely no educational qualifications backing you, and are excited to see your own unique journey of becoming a Design Professional
