Role: Market & Industry Research
Responsibilities:
Market Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, market dynamics, and growth opportunities in various industries;
- Analyze consumer behavior, preferences, and purchasing patterns to anticipate market demands;
- Monitor industry reports, economic indicators, and competitor activities to stay abreast of market developments.
Financial Evaluation:
- Evaluate the financial health and performance of potential businesses, focusing on cash flow statements, profit margins, and revenue generation.
- Perform financial modeling and projections to assess the potential returns and risks associated with investment opportunities.
- Analyze key financial metrics such as return on investment (ROI), net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR) to prioritize investment decisions.
Opportunity Assessment:
- Identify and assess potential investment opportunities in cash flow positive businesses, considering factors such as growth potential, scalability, and competitive advantage.
- Conduct due diligence activities including company valuation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance checks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the alignment of opportunities with organizational goals and strategies.
Reporting and Recommendations:
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and recommendations based on research findings and financial analysis.
- Communicate insights, recommendations, and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders.
- Support decision-making processes by providing clear, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
Continuous Learning and Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in financial analysis and investment evaluation.
- Continuously refine and enhance analytical methodologies, tools, and processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of opportunity evaluation.
Qualifications:
- MBA from Tier 1 college;
- Graduation from IIT, NIT or any reputed Engg College;
- Experience: Min. 3 to 10 Years;
Preference:
- Proven experience in market research, financial analysis, or investment evaluation,
- Top Consulting firms or Big 4;
- Top Research firms with global practice;
- FMCG Conglomerate
