Senior Site Lead, Map Editing Operations

Uber's Map Improvement Team is looking for a senior site lead to scale up its global map editing team and based in Hyderabad, India. The Site Lead will help drive map editing strategy, establish work flows, identify and scale resource needs, including onboarding staffing partners that will provide the appropriate labor services. The Site Lead will ensure that the map improvement roadmap goals are met and will establish global metrics to monitor and ensure the highest level of productivity.

Responsibilities :

- Own the strategy around the map editing operations process and coordinate with the map data collection team and map editing engineering team to deliver a fully functioning process and accurate data set.

- Validate that new processes enable key components of the map editing process.

- Drive the scaling of the Mapping Operations efforts against hard deadlines with a laser focus on cost efficiency and quality.

- Manage key vendor relationships and drive staffing agreements considering cost and quality.

- Develop key metrics and dashboards to measure the success of the worldwide map editing network.

- Communicate strategy and progress with senior management and cross-functional teams.

- Communicate software and process bugs/problems/opportunities back to the development team and ensure new cost-reducing/productivity-increasing functionality is developed and delivered.

Minimum qualifications :

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Business

- Experience running large operational teams focused cartographic operations

- Seasoned Project Manager with a track record as an excellent communicator

- Experience in establishing large operational metrics and driving operational efficiency initiatives

Preferred qualifications :

- MBA with an emphasis on Operations Research, or Operations

- 10+ years of experience in the field of cartography with specific focus on the aggregation and organization of cartographic data
