These apps are built by thousands of students, freelancers, professional developers and businesses across India and globally. txtWeb has commercial relationships with all the major carriers (e.g. Airtel, Vodafone, DoCoMo) and handsets (e.g. Micromax, Karbonn). txtWeb has been widely quoted in the media and has been profiled in case studies. It has also been recognized with all the major innovations awards such as the mBillionth 2012 Award for Innovation, NASSCOM and Aegis Graham Bell. txtWeb is funded by and is part of Intuit, a large US multi-national company.
Role Overview:
This candidate will assist the MD and will closely work with him on a day-to-day basis. The work will fall into the following three functional buckets:
- Strategy and consulting: Consulting and assisting MD in organizing and managing various internal meetings and conferences with important stakeholders domestically and internationally. The work would include successfully running the meetings by strategically preparing meeting agenda and presentations, influencing strategic stakeholders and tracking progress to drive to a desired outcome in a time-bound manner. This would also include preparing and maintaining a running list of various strategic issues facing the company and ensuring that adequate progress is made by the team in addressing them.
- External liaising: Assisting the MD in managing various external relationships and representations at various national and international events, conferences, industry bodies and with the government. Successful candidate will need to take charge of the various loose ends, map out various relationships and build a calendar of events to take part in to ensure maximum impact for the company
- Organizational: Taking active part in and influencing strategic organizational issues, personally connecting with each team member to keep the team engaged and motivated and ensuring that the team as a whole works as a high-performance organization. This role requires very strong inter-personal skills to gel with a very young, dynamic and fast-paced team and a very high EQ to understand what is going well and what is not.
This would be a contractual role to begin with. Based on candidate's performance and business need this could convert into a permanent role after a few months. While there is no guarantee, there have been several instances where high performing candidates in similar roles have been converted into permanent roles with wider responsibilities.

Qualifications:
- Start-up/entrepreneurial mindset with high degree of comfort with ambiguity. Need to be curious, internally motivated self-starter.
- Outstanding senior management communication skills. Need to have really strong oral, written and presentation skills including ability to communicate very complex ideas in simple ways
- Problem-solving: Ability to think through issues and come up with solutions in a fast frugal manner
- Outstanding inter-personal skills and empathy
Education: At least a Bachelors degree. Masters degree preferred.
Experience: 5+ years
