Assistant Manager - Procurement


Roles & Responsibilities:


1) Ensure procurement of goods and services like office consumables, IT equipment, travel agencies, Hotels (India and abroad), Courier, Cab vendors, Repair and maintenance vendors, Printing vendors by minimizing the cost and within agreed timelines:

a. Search for appropriate sources and get cost effective deals for the organization.

b. Document the contracts and terms of sales.

c. Monitor their performance against the agreed SOPs.

2) Act as SPOC for all purchases for all departments nationally:

a. Devise and implement the process for order placement.

b. Ensure delivery of items and goods to the stakeholders on or before of the agreed TAT.

c. Establish regular communication with the stakeholders for updating the status of the goods/ services requested for.

d. Manage issues and ensure the closure happens without impacting the stakeholder's task/ job.

e. Manage expectations of the stakeholders to ensure realistic and achievable expectation setting.

f. Develop and manage relationship with the stakeholders.

3) Manager overall inventory for goods:

a. Devise and implement the process for material consumption.

a. Prepare the procurement budget and project the expected requirements by taking cognizance of all the requirements of the stakeholders.

b. Ensure adherence to the budget and projected requirements and thereby keeping a check on the cost.

5) Manage vendors of purchase items, travel agencies, hotels (India and abroad), Courier, Cab vendors, Repair and maintenance vendors:

a. Continuously monitor & evaluate the performance of existing vendors and improve upon their performance by setting correct, realistic and achievable expectation.

b. Build and manager relationship with the vendors.

c. Negotiate with vendors for providing cost efficient deals to organization

d. Regular maintenance of records for existing as well as new vendors.

e. Resolve disputes and claims of vendors and suppliers

6) Develop cost effective sourcing strategies with an added objective to improve stakeholders' experience:

a. Continuous search for alternate vendors on need basis

b. Re-negotiate with vendors for providing cost efficient deals to organization.

c. Work towards improving the stakeholders experience by delivering the goods without follow ups and hassles.

Knowledge & Experience Required:

- Qualifications : Graduation/ Post Graduation

- Proven Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in procurement

- Good knowledge of MS office

- Skills required: Inventory Management, Supply chain Management, Vendor Management
