Head of Operations India

We are looking for experienced Head of Trucking Operations who can work on aggressive growth plans to take the company to the next level. We need someone who can take future vision of the company and apply it to our operations. This position must have extensive experience in this role overseeing operations of an over the road asset-based transportation company.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure full and appropriate utilization of company equipment and employees.

- Set goals, mentor and coach department employees to assist in meeting established goals.

- Participate in strategic planning and collaborate with other managers and staff members in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.

- Build and maintain a positive work environment recognizing and valuing team members and their contributions. Maintain frequent communication.

- Work with Sales Team to improve upon revenue and profit (Realigning the network, Adjusting Lanes, etc.)

- Address and document any disciplinary issues to include assisting in terminations.

- Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions to maintain staffed and stable work centers.

- Provide input and assistance in the development and implementation of procedures and standards of service to effectively support and achieve performance results and customer satisfaction.

- Maintain customer satisfaction, provide problem solving resources, and handle escalated customer issues.

- Address and resolve driver issues.

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment and comply with federal, state and corporate safety and environmental activities.

- Embrace, promote and lead continuous improvement efforts.

- Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

- 8+ years of prior experience in the Trucking and / or Transportation industry.

- 2+ years of experience in an Operations / Logistics Management role

- Proven ability to train, supervise, evaluate and provide work direction and guidance to others.

- Prior experience growing and scaling a business.

- Comprehensive knowledge of regulations impacting daily operations (i.e. national / state level DOT regulations)

- Hands-On Leadership Ability.

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

- Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.

This position offers a competitive base salary.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: Mohali

Job Timing: Night Shift (7pm to 4am, Candidate needs to be flexible with timing as depends upon work).

Working Days: Mon-Fri working, with a small flexibility expected in shift timings and days.
