Triple is currently seeking a Category Manager/ Accounting Team Lead to join our team in the US Accounting Division.
As an Accounting Team Lead, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the accounting functions within the category. You will be responsible for leading a team of accountants and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Here are some specific job duties and responsibilities associated with the role:
Team Management: You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of accountants, including assigning tasks, setting goals, and providing guidance and support. You will also be involved in recruiting, training, and evaluating team members.
Financial Reporting: You will oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. You will ensure that these reports are accurate, complete, and prepared in a timely manner.
Compliance and Audit: You will ensure that all financial transactions are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards. You may also be involved in coordinating internal and external audits and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.
Process Improvement: You will continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness. This may involve implementing new accounting software, automation tools, or streamlined workflows.
Financial Analysis: You will analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. You may provide insights and recommendations to management based on your analysis.
Communication and Collaboration: You will interact with various stakeholders, such as executives, managers, auditors, and other departments, to provide financial information, answer queries, and collaborate on cross-functional projects.
Training and Development: You will provide training and development opportunities to your team members to enhance their accounting knowledge and skills. This may include organizing workshops, seminars, or mentoring programs.
Risk Management: You will identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing appropriate controls and procedures. This may involve monitoring internal controls, conducting risk assessments, and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
Stay Updated: You will stay informed about changes in accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices. This will enable you to ensure compliance and introduce improvements in accounting processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of Various tools- Should be well versed with QBO, QBD, Xero, Sage Intacct
- Overall, This role is a 3-dimensional role that involves Employees, Clients, and Management.
- Responsible for working directly with Hiring Managers to procure the best candidates.
- Actively design Training Modules
- Be an active part of employee allocation, engagement and review.
You will be the Sole POC for the clients which will involve:
- Allocation of Resources
- Managing Feedback
- Performance Audits
- Therefore, acting as a bridge between the employees, the client & and the management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial controls.
- Extensive knowledge of US accounting principles and regulations, including tax compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing and leading accounting teams, with a track record of building and developing talent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in accounting software like QBO, QBD, Xero, and Sage Intacct, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
