Whom are we looking for?
- As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Treelife, you will play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence across our advisory services.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, aligning the company's strategic goals with its resources, and ensuring optimal efficiency, cost management, and client satisfaction.
- The COO will work closely with the leadership team to drive growth and build operational capabilities to meet the dynamic needs of startups and investors.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Operational Leadership:
- Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and procedures to optimize efficiency, productivity, and profitability across the company.
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including project management, client service delivery, and administrative functions.
- Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the founders and other senior executives to develop long-term strategic plans for business growth and expansion.
- Identify and assess new business opportunities, market trends, and potential risks.
- Set performance targets, track progress, and implement initiatives to achieve the company's strategic objectives.
Financial Management:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure operational activities align with financial goals.
- Assist in developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement cost-control measures to optimize resource utilization and improve the bottom line.
Client Relationship Management:
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by overseeing the quality and timeliness of service delivery.
- Work with the business development team to enhance client relationships, retain existing clients, and attract new business.
- Address client feedback and concerns in a proactive and solution-oriented manner.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously analyze operational processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Drive innovation by introducing new tools, technologies, and best practices to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
What are the key requirements for the role?
- Masters/ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience (15+ years) in an operations leadership role, preferably in a small to mid-sized services firm.
- Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, finance, marketing, and IT.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively, with a track record of driving results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and employees.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
