- A business development role responsible for identifying and managing infrastructure, EUC, and hybrid transformation opportunities. This includes hardware, software, and cloud, as well as driving the value proposition for associated ecosystem technologies in the virtualisation/ hybrid space across Phoenixs vertically aligned sales operation.
- This will include providing technical sales expertise in the relevant technologies and the identification and management of solutions opportunities both in Phoenixs existing customer base and new prospects.
- Understanding compute, virtualisation, cloud, and storage ecosystem technologies to identify complete solutions that complement our existing transformation business, taking these to market, sharing the benefits of the technology, and driving customers towards our managed services are also key responsibilities of this role.
The main responsibilities are:
- Understand the full value of the transformation solutions Phoenix currently offers customers
- Understand the full value of key vendors business proposition and product lines, such as VMware, Dell Technologies, Microsoft etc.
- Understand the full value, business proposition, and product lines in various ecosystem partners
- To work both individually and with the Phoenix sales teams to identify solution opportunities for software, hardware, cloud, and services within the existing customer base and within new prospects
- Be able to articulate and identify the drivers for infrastructure refreshes and cloud transformations
- Communicate the benefits of and drive customers towards our managed services
- Champion focus technologies within each of the Phoenix sales teams and work with them to raise awareness and increase identification of relevant opportunities
- Assist with the creation of solution proposals
- Work with the Phoenix sales teams to track and trace solutions opportunities and provide advice on how to cross sell or up sell the opportunity to maximise margin
- Keep abreast of developments in compute, storage, cloud, and virtualisation technologies, as well as the wider ecosystem to ensure that our offerings are at the forefront of the market, dynamic, and set apart from the competition
- Assist in the promotion of Phoenix and our capabilities
- Maintain accreditations in relevant technology areas
- Develop, maintain, and leverage vendor relationships to support business opportunities
- Understand the various procurement programmes and be able to clearly communicate these with our sales teams to leverage for maximum margin and rebate on our deals
- Assist in the delivery of training and presentation of content at marketing events
- Assist with the delivery of sales and technical sales activities to achieve the business targets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key sales and technical teams both within Phoenix and vendors
- Identify and proactively maximise opportunities for sales growth
- Assist with forecasting opportunities and managing solutions prospects within D365, ensuring these are up to date each week
