Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Training Manager to develop and manage training programs tailored to the needs of our Electronics Manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, electronics, and technical skills, along with the ability to deliver both technical and soft skills training to employees at various levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Needs Analysis:
- Conduct training needs assessments by evaluating the current skill levels of employees, identifying gaps, and developing strategies to address those gaps.
- Collaborate with department heads, engineers, and production managers to understand the technical training requirements specific to the electronics manufacturing processes.
Training Program Development:
- Design and implement technical training programs focused on areas such as electronics assembly, quality control, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Develop soft skills training programs, including communication, leadership, and teamwork.
- Ensure all training materials are aligned with the latest industry standards and technological advancements.
Delivery of Training:
- Conduct both in-house and external training sessions, utilizing a variety of methods such as workshops, e-learning, and on-the-job coaching.
- Partner with external vendors to provide specialized technical training where required.
- Ensure that training sessions are interactive, engaging, and meet the learning objectives.
Compliance and Certification:
- Ensure all employees undergo mandatory training on safety, quality, and compliance standards specific to the electronics manufacturing industry (e.g., ISO, ESD).
- Manage employee certifications and ensure recertification processes are followed for all technical roles.
Evaluation and Improvement:
- Measure the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and performance metrics.
- Continuously improve training content and delivery based on employee feedback, industry changes, and technological advancements.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Prepare and manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of training programs.
- Source and manage training materials, equipment, and third-party trainers, as needed.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of training activities, certifications, and employee progress.
- Generate periodic reports on training outcomes, skill improvements, and employee feedback to senior management.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. A Master's degree or certification in training management is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience as a Training Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably electronics.
- Deep understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, industry standards, and compliance regulations (e.g., ESD, ISO 9001).
- Proven experience in developing and delivering technical and soft skills training.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and digital training tools.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in training methodologies (e.g., CPTM, CIPD) or other professional training certifications.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other training software.
- Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
